Domain and File Transfer Complete!
I’ve completed the move of this blog from a test location to it’s permanant home on this server. I’ve also gotten the domain taken care of and it’s resolving correctly. I’m still in the process of tidying up some loose ends and fixing some links that still point to the old server, but other then that…the move is complete and a success!
As for my new domain, dmschaos.com, I have to say that it wasnt my first choice. I originally wanted to use dmsblog.com as the domain for this page, however it was already taken! As if that wasnt bad enough, whoever owns the domain is not even using it currently! UG! Oh well, I guess I do not feel to bad about the domain I decided to go with, it’s not like I havent been using dmschaos as my online nickname for close to 8yrs now!
I’m also still tweaking this theme. It’s funny how a theme can almost take on a life of it’s own as your are still working on it. The color scheme you see not is not even close to what I originally started with. It wasnt until I finalized (I use that tern very loosly btw) the banner that the color scheme you see now began to take shape. I’m still getting some of the css tweaked, but I think I have pretty much what I’m looking for in place.
