My Massive Avatar Collection
I’ve been collecting user avatars for a few years. I mainly download or create them to add to my Quake 3 fan-site, http://www.burial-grounds.com. It started with me creating avatars from the screenshots that Quake 3 model developers would include with the custom models they created. After I had about 100 or so avatars, I started searching for new ones on various websites, creating new ones from various game and web sources as well as collecting unique avatars that were being submitted by community members at my burial-grounds.com forums.
Since I have so many now, and I really haven’t been adding to the collection in quite some time, I figured it would be useful to someone else if I uploaded them for public consumption. With over 800 avatars, there are any genres covered by the collection. Gaming, sci-fi, anime, cartoon, TV and various other topics are all included in this avatar compilation. The color scheme for most of these avatars are probably best suited for dark themed websites and forums, but most should fit in just fine in any template. This massive collection of avatars has been sized to suit my personal needs, but they should scale relatively well if they are not suitable for yours.
